USA Today Medical Report Steve Sternberg, the 1999 recipient of the Global Health Council Excellence in Media Award for his series on AIDS in Africa, presented the annual Frederick S. Siebert Lecture at Michigan State University onMonday, November 6, 2006. His address - "Covering the plague: AIDS, the press and the personal journey". He also participated in a "Conversation, Q&A luncheon" with our HRCC faculty.

Environment Effects Risks for Breast Cancer? Dr. Charles Atkin, a principal investigator on the Breast Cancer and Environment Research Centers project, financed by the National Cancer Institute. It's a federally funded, $35 million dollar study to be completed over 7 years. Today, it is 3 years underway.
